Visiting Tech Gate Computers Store

Frankie, Chance and me hang out with our buddy Cody at his store on Sandwich Street.
Hi. I'm Charles the Bear Cub. You know me. I live on Sparkle Road with my buddy, Grandpa James. He's really old. He was the second Canadian to get off Noah's Ark, you know.

Oh. Wait! Chance lives with us, too. He's a newborn cubby someone left in a basket on our doorstep. He's a wee little thing. I look after Chance, too. He's a handful!

Oh. Wait! Frankie lives with us, too! He's our cousin. Frankie is four. Frankie and me go to the Scruffy Maple Day Care Centre on Sandwich Street. We walk past Cody's store every day.

Today we're visiting Cody. He has an important job, you know. He fixes computers. He's Dr. Desktop. Oh! Wait! He's Dr. Laptop, too. When your computer is sick, just call Cody. He can make your computer well, again.

Frankie and me are playing Space Invaders. It's my favouritest computer game.

Did you hear that? Grandpa James is hollering, "Where are my handsome bear cubs? Where are my Sons of Windsor? Where are my Princes of Ontario? That's me! Charles! That's Chance! We're handsome bear cubs. We're Sons of Windsor and Princes of Ontario!

Grandpa James hollers, "Where's my handsome Frankie? Where's my Knight of Knewfoundland and my Lord of Labrador? That's Frankie! He's a handsome bear cub. He's the Knight of Knewfoundland and the Lord of Labrador!

We gotta go find Grandpa James so we can get our ears tickled and our noses kissed. This is me, Charles the Bear Cub saying, "Be good citizens. Be kind to everyone. Then you can eat Smarties and drink root beer. Oh! Wait! Come over to our house and play with us! We can visit Cody and play Space Invaders together!  Okay! Over and out!"

A Visit with Mac Doctor Miss Gwen

Hi. I'm Charles the Bear Cub. You know me. I live on Sparkle Road with my buddy, James. He's really old. He was the second Canadian to get off Noah's Ark, you know.

Oh. Wait! Chance lives with us, too. He's a newborn cubby someone left in a basket on our doorstep. He's a wee little thing. I look after Chance, too. He's a handful!

Know what? We got a visitor. Here we are with Miss Gwen. She's a Macintosh doctor . Our eMac got sick. It didn't work very good anymore. It got slower and slower. It was very hard for us to blog. Miss Gwen took our sick Mac to MacHospital. She couldn't make it well. Our eMac died. It was eight years old. Miss Gwen says that's pretty old for a computer.  Now we got an iBook. Miss Gwen hooked it up for us.

We can play Space Invaders! I l-o-v-e playing Space Invaders. I'm pretty good at and I don't even have thumbs!

Oh. Wait! Did you hear that? James is hollering, "Where are my handsome bear cubs? Where are my Sons of Windsor? Where are my Princes of Ontario? That's me! Charles! That's Chance! We're handsome bear cubs. We're Sons of Windsor and Princes of Ontario! We gotta go find James so we can get our ears tickled and our noses kissed.

This is me, Charles the Bear Cub saying, "Be good citizens. Obey the rules. Be nice. Then you can eat Smarties and drink root beer. Oh! Wait! Come over to our house and play with us! We can play Space Invaders together! Okay! Over and out!"

Chance's Favouritest Song

Hi. This is my baby brother, Chance. He's a newborn cubby someone left on our doorstep. I look after him. He's really tiny but he's a real handful. You know me.  I'm Charles the Bear Cub. I live on Sparkle Road with my buddy, James. He's really old. He was the second Canadian to get off Noah's Ark, you know. I help him remember things. Today he forgot where he left his bicycle!

Chance is so little he doesn't have any teeth. He only drinks condensed owls' milk out of a bottle. He can't talk, yet. He likes to rip off his diaper and climb things. He makes little squeaky noises when he's happy and little squawky noises when he's hungry or afraid or has poo in his diaper.

Chance has a favourite song. It's He's Got the Whole World in His Hands. When Chance hears it he bounces up and down and makes squeaky noises. That's 'cuz he's really happy.

He's got the whole world in his hands
He's got the whole world in his hands
He's got the whole world in his hands
He's got the whole world in his hands
He's got the wind and the rain in his hands [Repeat 3x]
He's got the whole world in his hands
He's got the sun and the moon . . .
He's got the little bitty baby . . .
He's got you and me brother . . .
He's got everybody here . . .

If you want to hear the song, you can download it at-

Oh. We can get out some pots and pans and wooden spoons and sing. We're the Band of Brothers, you know.

This is Charles the Bear Cub saying, "Be good citizens! Sing out loud and make people smile. Good citizens get to eat Smarties and drink root beer and play Space Invaders. I know! Come to our house and sing with us! Over and out!"

Meeting a Mountie

Hi. I'm Charles the Bear Cub. You know me. I live on Sparkle Road with my buddy, James. He's old and can't remember things like where he put the remote control for the TV, so I have to look after him. Oh. Wait! Chance lives with us, too. He's a newborn cubby someone left in a basket on our doorstep. He's a wee little thing.

Know what? Chance and me are at the tourist centre. It's a nice place. The lady let us have our picture taken with a Mountie. James says he's a cardboard constable. I know what Mounties do. They serve and protect. See! He's serving and protecting right now. Oh, no! Chance has climbed up on the Horseman's shoulder. "My son! Come down from there this instant!"  I have to watch Chance all the time. He's a real handful.

I know what else Mounties do. They stand on guard for thee. I could be an RCMP officer when I grow up, you know. I would stand on guard for thee. I don't know who 'thee' is but James will know. He knows lots of things. Kids and cubs would get their pictures taken with me. I would use my space ray gun to arrest bad people and make them sit on the Time Out Chair so they can think about what they did.

I hear James hollering, "Where are my Sons of Windsor? Where are my Princes of Ontario? Where are my handsome bear cubs?" That's me, Charles! I'm a Son of Windsor. I'm a Prince of Ontario. I'm a handsome bear cub. So is Chance! We gotta go, now. We're gonna go outside and climb a snow mountain. This is me, Charles the Bear Cub saying, "Be good citizens! Be nice to the Mounties. Good citizens get to eat Smarties and drink root beer and play Space Invaders. Over and out!"

Queen Elizabeth

Hi. I'm Charles the Bear Cub. You know me. I live on Sparkle Road with my buddy James. He is forgetful and old. He was the second Canadian to get off Noah's Ark. I have to look after him. Oh. Wait! Chance lives with us, too. He's a newborn cubby someone left in a basket on our doorstep. He's a wee little thing.

Know what? I'm in the Law Courts. See the picture of the nice lady on the wall behind me? That's Queen Elizabeth. I know who she is. She's the Queen of Canada. She's the big boss. She's the boss of almost everybody except the Knighted States. She has a lot of jobs, you know. One of her jobs is to rain over us. She tells the weather what to do. She's the boss of Environment Canada! I will ask her to make it snow. That's a really big job! I know a song about Queen Elizabeth-

God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen:
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to rain over us:
God save the Queen.

Oh! No! Queen Elizabeth has to be saved. Oh! My! Good thing I know how to save Her Majesty. Know how? I press "Apple" and "s" and she's saved!

Queen Elizabeth is a good citizen. Good citizens get to eat gummy worms in their porridge and drink root beer and play Space Invaders. One day James and Chance and me will go visit Her Majesty. She lives in a castle. We will be fun. We can eat wallermelon. I'm sure Queen Elizabeth will play with us and help us dig holes in the back yard.

Did you hear that? James is hollering, "Where's my handsome bear cubs? Where are my Sons of Windsor and my Princes of Ontario?  That's me Charles! I'm a Son of Windsor and a Prince of Ontario--and Chance is a Son of Windsor and a Prince of Ontario, too! I gotta go. I gotta find Chance so we can go see James and get our ears tickled and our noses kissed. Okay! This is Charles the Bear Cub saying, "Be a good citizen. Don't forget! Press "Apple" and "s" on the computer! Save our Queen! Over and out!"
