Wet Floor

Hi. I'm Charles the Bear Cub. You know me. I live on Sparkle Road with my buddy James. He is very forgetful and pretty old. He says he was the second Canadian to get off of Noah's Ark. I have to look after him. Oh. Wait! Chance lives with us, too. He's a newborn cubby someone left in a basket on our doorstep. He's a wee little thing.

See the sign? It says Wet Floor and Plancher Mouille. We have to be careful when we see that sign. I don't want to fall down and get hurt. I know! We can slide all over the wet floor and play hockey. Chance thinks he's hiding from me but he's not. I can see all of him. Know what? When Chance closes his eyes, he thinks he's invisible. He's a very silly little cubby. When he is five, he'll know better.

I hear Special Ed James hollering, "Where's my handsome bear cubs?" That's us! Charles and Chance. We gotta go find him so we can get our ears tickled and our noses kissed. I sure hope we go to Mac's Milk to get some gummy worms. I l-o-v-e gummy worms. I hold them way up in the air and I say, "Look out gummy worms! I'm gonna eat you a-l-l up!" This is Charles the Bear Cub saying, "Be good citizens. Don't fall on wet floors. Eat all your gummy worms. Starving children in Belgium would love to have gummy worms to eat. Over and out!"

Feeling Good, Feeling Fine

Hi. I'm Charles the Bear Cub. You know me. I live on Sparkle Road with my buddy James. He is forgetful and pretty old. He says he was the second Canadian to get off of Noah's Ark. I have to look after him. Oh. Wait! Chance lives with us, too. He's a newborn cubby someone left in a basket on our doorstep. He's a wee little thing.

Know what? We had the Austrian measles. We were really sick. We had BIG red spots all over. We went to the Sandwich Community Health Centre. We got shots. Shots hurt. We didn't cry very much. We got Sponge Bob Square Pants stickers 'cuz we're very brave bear cubs.

Now we feel good. We're feeling fine. We are playing Rock Star. We know some songs like, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Chance is too little to sing. He doesn't even talk! He likes to bang on the saucepan. He's good at it. Chance has a favourite song. He likes the song Five Bear Cubs Lying in the Bed. When I holler, "Roll over! Roll Over," Chance does a somersault. He's a handful! Here's Chance's favourite song. Ready?

Five bear cubs lying in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over!"
"Roll over!"
So they all rolled over and one fell out.

Four bear cubs lying in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over!"
"Roll over!"
So they all rolled over and one fell out.

Three bear cubs lying in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over!"
"Roll over!"
So they all rolled over and one fell out.

Two bear cubs lying in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over!"
"Roll over!"
So they all rolled over and one fell out.

One bear cub lying in the bed and the little one said,
"Alone at last!"

THE END!

Colouring Book

Hi. I'm Charles the Bear Cub. You know me. I live on Sparkle Road with my buddy, Special Ed James. He rides to school on a short bus, so I have to look after him. Oh. Wait! Chance lives with us, too. He's a newborn cubby someone left in a basket on our doorstep. He's a wee little thing.

Know what? Chance and me got a colouring book at the Sandwich Community Health Centre. The doctors and nurses are nice. Everyone is nice even if we got got Austrian measles. We had to get shots. Shots hurt. Chance cried and made squawky noises. I only cried a little bit. I l-o-v-e to colour. I have crayons. I know how to colour inside of the lines. Chance is too little to know how to colour. Know what? He tries to eat the crayons. We can't eat crayons. They're not in the Canada Food Guide. I say, "My son! Take that out of your mouth!" I have to watch him all the time. Chance is a handful, you know.

This is Charles the Bear Cub saying, "Be good citizens! If you are good citizens you might get a colouring book of your own from the Sandwich Community Health Centre.
